Reading the Handbook has helped me much in organizing my approach to complete the logs and internship plan. Although, I still have these questions and I cannot continue if I do not know the answers.
• When is the due date for earlier cohorts such as cohort 4 (April 2009) and the internship information just got to us this February 2010? Seems to me then the monthly report just has to be reflective since eight courses have already past.
Cohort 4 has a shorter internship timeline but why we started you in February 2010. Cohort 11 and after will be required to complete 100 hours. You only need to a minimum of 50. Because Cohort 4 is one of the first, you will complete your internship course on September 28 but we will extend the deadline for your ePortfolio and comprehensive exam to November 1.
• Also same applies to the Mentorship: How to fill out the first courses logs on the Mentor line since we did not have a mentor back then? Your current mentor's name needs to go there.
• Difference between Monthly field based report logs and Weekly? Are we doing both?
Monthly field-based report logs replaced the weekly logs.
• Are the Field based reflection due on May 8th one per month or one per course? Say we had some months we were on vacation like in July and August.
Monthly field-based logs are due on the first day of every month until your ePortfolio and comprehensive exam are due. Let me know if you have further questions. Best, KA
